What is a Virtual Office and What Can You Do with One?
Considering a virtual office but are unsure as to what you are going to be able to do with one? Well, that is why we have put together this guide for you! We are going to run you through a few of the things that you can do with a virtual office. It is, perhaps, worth pointing out that you will only be able to enjoy these benefits form some virtual offices. Not every office will offer the same ‘benefits’, so it is worth checking out which options are going to be right for your business.
All virtual offices are going to come with an address that you will be able to use for your company. This is going to be great if you are currently running your business out of a residential address and you want to make your company seem more professional. Some people will use their address to give the impression they are located in a specific location. Others may just use the address to put down on their Companies House registration.
In addition to this, most virtual offices will be able to handle you mail for you. At the very minimum, you will be able to go to the virtual office and pick up your mail. This is not something that you are going to be able to do if you are located outside of the area, however. So, instead of that, you may want to go down the route of asking them to forward your mail onto you. Some companies may even scan your mail into their online system that you will be able to check.
Telephone Answering Services
For an extra fee, many virtual office companies will be able to answer the phone for you. This is great if you are a smaller company and you are unable to employ a full time staff member to answer calls for you. How they manage your call be completely up to you. Some companies will be able to forward the caller onto you, wherever you are located. Other companies will be able to take messages for you and forward them on.
Not all virtual office locations are going to have this. However, the ones that do are going to be very convenient to work with if you are a growing company. For example; if you regularly hold meetings, you will be able to make use of the meeting facilities that the company has in place. They may even allow you to take video calls there.
For a small extra fee each month, you may be able to take advantage of work facilities that the company provides. You probably are not going to be using these all that much, but it is great to have a dedicated ‘work location’ where you can really get into the zone and hammer out as much work as possible. The virtual office will probably provide printing services, telephones and the internet.
